Many of the State Historical Society’s holdings are included in Merlin, the shared library catalog of the four University of Missouri campuses. The State Historical Society holds books on social and fraternal organizations in Missouri. Some materials can be found by searching the subject term “social organizations” or “fraternal organization.” It is most effective to search for the specific organization you are actively studying such as The Boy Scouts of America, 4-H, or a particular fraternity or sorority.

Social and fraternal organizations include many different organizations such as social and civic service organizations and fraternal groups.
