Innovation in Missouri History: National History Day Educator Workshop

This workshop is designed for both new and veteran National History Day teachers. Come learn more about National History Day in Missouri, get information on changes to the web site category and what that will mean for your students, gain awareness of Missouri's innovations and innovators, find out about the resources and research opportunities available through the Western Historical Manuscript Collection and The State Historical Society of Missouri, and see examples of successful NHD projects! Free and includes lunch!

National History Day in Missouri is sponsoring these programs in partnership with the Missouri Humanities Council and with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Regional Workshops and Mini-Workshops
Mini-workshops will last approximately two hours and will consist of an introduction to NHDMO, suggestions for teaching research skills, tips on helping students create projects, resources for the program and how to register, and project examples.  Veteran teachers who attend may also be asked to give advice and suggestions to new teachers. They are geared toward new NHDMO teachers, but are open to all teachers. Please RSVP to the state coordinator at historyday@umsystem.edu.
