Contest InformationThe National History Day contest is the oldest and most highly regarded humanities competition for students in grades 6-12. The National History Day in Missouri state contest adheres to the official NHD rules and judging criteria, so that students will be judged consistently throughout all the levels of competition. The 2010 theme is "Innovation in History: Impact and Change." See the 2010 NHD theme statement. (Must have Adobe Acrobat software to view. Download a free copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader.) The NHDMO state contest will be held on April 10, 2010, at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Please Note: Students participating in the state contest must have competed previously at a regional competition and been designated a delegate to the state contest. Find out information about the contest in your region. Winners at the regional contests will receive written information about the state contest. In addition to choosing the delegates for the national contest, several other awards are presented at the NHDMO state contest each year. Following are links to some materials on the NHD site that will help in understanding how to create a contest entry.
