INTRODUCTION
The Looney's Creek Baptist Church was formed out of the membership of the Baptist Church at Pleasant Hill in Marion County, Missouri, on 14 May 1836. Worshippers met at the home of Caroline Looney and elected Robert Hendren and Charles L. Turner church elders.
The record book contains the articles of faith and rules of decorum in addition to the monthly meeting minutes. These minutes list new members received into the church.
DONOR INFORMATION
The records of Looney's Creek Baptist Church were transferred from the State Historical Society of Missouri to the Manuscript Collection on 14 October 1971 (SHS Accession No. 888).
