The record book of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Association, an organization of churches in central Missouri.

DONOR INFORMATION

The Mount Pleasant Baptist Association Records were purchased by the State Historical Society of Missouri from A. Loyd Collins on 11 May 1954. The records were photocopied for preservation purposes and the original was discarded.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The records consist primarily of minutes of association meetings, 1818-1849, recording names of delegates, changes in church membership, and other organization business. Also included are rules of decorum and an abstract of principles. After 1824 the organization was known as the Mount Pleasant United Baptist Association.
